What to do in Fes?

The medina is the largest car-free urban environment in the world.

The show is in the street. Look at how people dress, what they do, how they behave.

What you see here is still truly authentic.

Although the medina needs tourism, the activity here is based primarily on a network of hundreds of small traders and artisans who are interdependent.

This is probably why this fantastic medieval city survives.

The Riad enjoys a prime location for exploring the cultural treasures of Fez on foot: it is just 450 m from the Batha Museum, 650 m from the famous Bab Boujeloud gate, and 750 m from the Bou Inania Madrasa. The Karaouyne Mosque and the Nejarine Fondouk are also within 1.2 km.

Your eyes will feast on the beauty of these natural sites. You can also take a detour to the many volcanic lakes along the road to Azrou. This day will leave you wanting to return for more hiking or cycling.

Our transport partner can pick you up at the Riad for day trips in an air-conditioned car with a driver.

Chefchaouen

Nicknamed "the blue pearl of Morocco", Chefchaouen is a charming city perched in the heart of the Rif mountains. Famous throughout the world for its picturesque medina with its alleyways, doors and facades painted in endless shades of blue, it offers a calm, mystical and particularly photogenic atmosphere.

It's a must-see destination for travelers seeking authentic local crafts, a relaxed pace of life, and nature hikes, particularly to the Akchour waterfall. Located about 3.5 hours north of Fes by car, it makes an ideal day trip to complete your exploration of northern Morocco.
